abnormal liver function tests

having been on antibiotics on and off for 8months. Infection and inflammation readings on liver function tests were normal but other ?readings (Consultant said)a little abnormal. Could this be due to prolonged antibiotics?Chest xray and ct abdo, chest and pelvis all clear 2 months ago. I still have pain in the left side of chest where pleurisy and pleural effusion has been and i still have bubbles when i breathe. Has anyone got any advice? I have just been to have accupuncture for pain relief which was BRILLIANT! Other than this no history of illness fit and well.

It wont be my normal great doc as she is still on leave but the lady i will see is also supposed to be good. " nights before i saw consultant and had abnormal blds taken i felt great. Stayed up till 3am with friends -silly now i think and drank-no lie- 3/4 of a bottle of white wine. I did feel ill-bear in mind had not drank for months. Next day up at 630am and had a long day with friends-no i did not drive but I only had 4 drinks all day i was parched. The next morning at about 11 my abnormal bloods were taken could this be why or would your blood have cleared by then. Its christmas and i am ttotal now frightened to death! The consultant letter only arrived xmas eve and was sent on 16th dec. he sadi to have more bloods in a  month and if still not ok then ct liver! I am no doctor, just a former nurse...but here goes. Yes, antibiotics can cause elevations in liver functions. There are many other causes as well, such as alcohol for instance but given that you were on antibiotics for so long, maybe they are the cause. What does your doctor say about the results as far as causes? I would talk to him or her about this.
