asthma and copd

I have a question that is bothering me I don't know what to do with my doctor I think I need a new one.I went to see him today with difficulty breathing that was so severe.I could hardly breathe I am on oxygen contiously at 5 liters I am a 40 year old female he had the nurse test my oxygen level without the oxygen and it was 58 wich was very low she said then she waited so I could breathe some oxygen before I went for a walk to test and it was only 65 she still couldn't believe it she told me to sit down and take some slow deep breaths and she was going to get the doctor to admit me to the hospital well she came back in and said that he was saying I could go home said 65 was okay as long as I was on 5 liters of oxygen I will be okay well I am not okay I can't breathe good I need to go the er I don't know if I should call an ambulance or listen to my docter and stay home. I need your advice.

your dr is not taking very good care of you, or giving you good advice, is he a general practioner.? You need a cardio-pulmonary specialist..
