asthma and methadone

Q: I have a relative that is a severe asthmatic and is currenty in a methadone program. I know she uses inhalers although I don't know what kind they are. What are the risks involved when you are taking medications for asthma along with methadone. Also does methadone increase the asthmatic condition?

To the best of our knowledge methadone does not cause asthma to worsen and it does not cause problems with medications for asthma.
