Hi y'all i thought i was the only one going through this....
it's been 9 years for me ,and i already have 2 nasal surgery .
My first operation didn't help at all ,but after the second one i was able to breath just a lil bed through my nose and the smell still remains.
i can't even remember the last time i went to the movies,or go eat at a restaurant,or go out to a club etc... coz i am afraid that people will make fun of me ,i m most of the time afraid to open my mouth to talk to people,sometime i gotta catch my breath too,coz the smell is also coming from the nose.
I HAVE NO GIRLFRIEND....who will go out with a man that smells all the times...
i use to smoke ciguarette and weed regulary,i quit a year ago and the smell seems to reduce,now i do nasal wash twice a day and i drink a lotta water wich helps too.
i also watch what i eat and drink ,i mean no coke ,sprite coffee tea etc ,just apple juice and water and i eat a lot of vegetable,chicken ,fish...no meat at all.
The smell is still here i canno't smell it because i lost my sens of smell by i can tell it's down compare to 2 years ago.
People don't back away from me as much as they use to, they don't spit a lot, they don't hold thei noses.
By the way i only talk to a doctor about this once and he recommends nasal wash.

I've experienced this as well, only for me, it was intermittent. The smell/ taste was just awful, I'd especially be aware of it when I'd expel air from my lungs with my mouth closed, like a yawn without opening the mouth. I was sure it had to be coming from my lungs or a terrible sinus infection. It was the same awful smell I'd smell on occasion from others that would make me, well, want to hold my breath!! Only now, it was me and I was afraid to breath or speak to anyone.
Went to an ENT and took some strong antibiotics...but it was still there.
So I started trying to notice any other symptoms that might be occuring as well and realized I was also constipated. I started thinking, if all that **** is still inside me and the smell/taste, smells and taste like ****, maybe there is a correlation..since I wasn't going naturally at the time, I used a natural laxative ("smooth move" and prunes) and once I started moving, the absolutely rotten smell, taste, went away.
Since then, to keep things clear, I've altered my diet to include more fiber and essential fatty acids.
Also, it's possible that some of you may have altered the beneficial bacteria in your digestive system, which has affected your digestion. This can be corrected by using a quality pro-biotic, from a quality health food store, your DRs may have suggested this already.
Another thing, I have read (and experienced) is that ingesting chlorophyll, either in gel cap form or liquid, acts as an internal deodorant, eliminating a lot of odors not only mouth and nose, but also body odors.
You could eat lots and lots of leafy greens but for me, I just can't eat that many greens and parsley (I'm talking A LOT) so is use the gel caps normally. The liquid form is ok...but it will stain anything it drips on.
Also for some horrible mouth odor, a lack of moisture in the mouth could be another source of the problem. Essential Fatty Acids and plenty of water has helped me with this.
These may not be the solution for your problems but they do help me and seem pretty safe to at least try.

I am extremely upset with that disease, people looking at me weird, when they see me coming next to them, they change seat. I am being treated as I am impure, can someone please help me. The bad odor is coming from my nose. I don't know what to take anymore, I've been taking nasonex, antibiotics, nothing seems to work. One thing I forgot to add, I have a chronic runny nose, for more than 15 years as I can remember I am only 32. I don't know if the bad smell is coming from the runny nose, but it really embarrasses me. Should Scientists start a research on that?
I have the same problem. I'm in highschool and it's almost been a year since I had it. It's RUINING my life. I went to see an ENT after months of being on antibiotics, decongestants, and nasal sprays that didn't work. I recently had endoscopic turbinate surgery for my inflamed something, I can breathe much better now but the smell is still there. Does anyone know if Therabreath Sinus Drops work? I have the same problem as you have. I did the same, holding my breath for while. But don't do it, because you will get head ache and sometimes you might faint. I know how you feel, I went through the same.

I've been having this problem for about two years. It started with tonsils infections. One time I searched online for information about tonsillitis and I got a product that "supossely cure it" I used a nasal drop and after that I got another problem. This time the bad breath was coming out my nose. I was allergic to that nasal drop. I went to the doctor right away and nothing changed. They gave me antibiotics, claritin, etc.. didn't help at all. After everything I was still the same. Even I got my tonsils removed thinking it was the problem. But, nothing work . I just forgot about that for 2 years, until just 2 months ago. It started getting worse. People were reacting different, cover their noses, looking at me weird and even talking about me at my back. I knew that something was right anymore. I changed deodorant,etc.. nothing. Until one nigth. I Hold my breath when I was talking water to the people's table. Because I worked in a restaurant. Then I noticed that if I hold my breath, they can't smell me and if let it go they smell me. So, I've been going to different doctors and nothing is changed. I'm talking antibiotics now called klefex. So, please if anyone can read me and heard or got the same problem. Please conctact me as soon as possible. This can be from a sinus infection or simply fluid that in the sinuses and not draining. I would speak to your physician about using an inhaled nasal steroid to see if this could relieve the problem. If it is an infection, this will not work.
