bloody mucus and hives

by twowanda, May 26, 2006 12:00AM
I have been breaking out in hives mostly on my hands and fingers for about a month now. In the last few days I have also had a bloody mucus draining in the very back of my throat. I don't have blood when I blow my nose, just a bloody mucusy drainaige. Are they connected? Should I see my primary care physician?

It is possible that these are connected.  You may be having some inflammation in the back of your throat, which is giving the bloody discharge.  If this does not clear soon, I would speak to your physician.  Most of the time this simply clears on its own.
