breathing out

I have also been suffering from this, on and off, all my life. I am 39 and healthy and fit. Has anyone ever thought of this. Instead of worrying so much about, and concentrating so much on getting air IN. What about trying to get air OUT? This has worked for me and is very easy.

1) Stand up straight with your back against the wall and hands at your sides.

2) Expel, as forcefully as possible, all air from your lungs. (you should try to get rid of as much air as possible).

3) Breath in again, slowly, through the nostrils, maintaining your current stance.

4) repeat 1 - 3 as many times as is comfortable

5) Carry on and see if it helps.

This discussion is related to shortness of breath/chest tightness with no other symptoms.
