bronchiectasis

by louis61, Mar 26, 2009 09:36AM
I was mis-diagnosed with asthma for the last three years.   I am 56 year old with no family history of asthma.  The treatments were not helping (prednasone, steriod inhalers, nebulizers etc)   I would catch a cold and be very ill for a minimum of 8 weeks often longer.   Finally I found a pulminary specialtist who diagnosed my condition after a cat scan etc. with BRONCHIETASIS.

Just looking for advice concerning this challenge.   I am on strong antibiotics as soon as I get a cold.   It is helping and is the first time I have not had to labour very hard to breathe.   Gastro opportunities arise as per antibiotic course.

Thank you
louis
