I am in the 11th day of acute bronchitis. Started with a common cold, first in ten years. For eight days struggles to expectorate sounded like a wounded bufalo, up to 15 heaves until ejected, frothy white then a touch light yellow then pale beige. Bent over holding on to my two bulging hernias. For three days now it is easier, ejected with three or four heaves, smaller amounts.. Ribs are still sore and I'm fatigued . An internet article said it's 95% viral so I did not go to the doctor for an antibiotic . Article said it would last two or three weeks. I'm pleased I didn't take anibiotics. But WAS THAT AN UNWISE DECISION?
