can kenalog cause diabetes?

my husband had been getting a kenalog injections for many years without being told he was diabetic. only two years ago we found out the hard way that he was diabetic. there is not family history of diabetes. i have read that kenalog can affect the glucose levels in those that are diabetic, but can it cause diabetes in those that are not already diabetic.

Kenalog is a steroid. In those with a predisposition to diabetes, steroids can bring out the symptoms because the sugar levels go up with steroids. It will not cause diabetes in those not predisposed to the disease.
