cancer or fungus

by cookie7594, Nov 06, 2008 06:24AM
Dr's have been watching a nodule in left lung for about 2 years. xray and CT scans also PET scans.  All PET scans were normal, Ct scans showed a slight growth in the last 6 months of about 2mm. My pulmonologist sent me to a thoracic surgeon who thought it was a fungus  coccsi? something. When returning to my doc he still advised major lung surgery to remove lobe.  The nodule is deep according to my Dr. The specialist advised another PET scan and if normal redo in 6 months..If not normal a needle biopsey woukl be the way he woiuld go.
I need help..Should I get another opinion>> from a new pul;monologist or another thoracic surgeon. SHould I just wait the 6 months..
