The key question to be answered is, what is the site of the bleeding and that can be anywhere in your respiratory tract from your nose and sinuses on down to your lungs.  That you are not coughing up blood suggests that the source is more likely to be somewhere in your nose.  It does not have to be a disease of the nose.  A dry nose is often enough to cause slight recurrent bleeding.

However, raising blood as you describe is never normal and it is important that you wake with your doctor to find the cause and treat it.

Good luck
