I was eating all day without water until dinner. Later on I started to free chest pains like area near the heart up to my throat. When i drink water, eat, or burp it hurts. I thought i had heartburn but i took the medicine and it didn't go away. This is my third day having it. Does having strep throat make this happen? Or is it something serious?
Strep usually hurts continuously; then often worse with swallowing food or liquid. This is probably heartburn, with or without spasm of your esophagus. Failure of relief with the use of medication isn't helpful diagnostically. Any pain that last 3 days should be evaluated by your doctor.
