is the cough a new symptom or is it chronic? how old are they? have they been checked for cystic fibrosis? i would ask the pediatrician about this since.
just a thought
Can you find another dr? A pediatric pulmonologist? They should at least be made comfortable
thankyou for the help.He has been see at the ENT but nothing happend.I think the antibiotic is making him worse he is sick daily and always at nite time.I think they dont care any more
it sounds as if the floppy airway has a lot to do with this, but there maybe some other anatomical issue.........has he seen an ENT dr or pulmonologist. breathing very fast is not a good sign.......did the antibiotic help? if not i would take him to the ER and have him checked out.
my son is nearly 2 and his cough is chronic heis turning blue in th eface with this cough.Take him to the doctors and was given antibotics to help but my child was not even examened by the doctor.
thankyou
Your daughter's cough is likely due to asthma; your son's cough likely due to a build-up of mucus in the "flop" airways. He too could have asthma. And, there are other causes of cough such as postnasal drip and heartburn. Floppy airways often get better with aging.
You should try to work with your son's doctor to find the cause(s) of his cough and then he can be given specific treatment.
If he truly has a low urine output, you should try to increase his fluid intake and discuss this with his doctor.
Good luck.
