child pneumonia

my child had pneumonia last year and now we just found out she has it again - she  just turned 3.  She has horrible cough low fever etc .  They have her one zythromax. I am very upset she has pneumonia again at age 3.  What could it be that she has it twice ?  What is my next step? should I have her tested for something else? we have no family history of anything I know of that could cause it.  Pleas ehelp I am a nernouse wreck.  Why is she getting pneumonia again at such a young age, I dont remeber hearing of pneumonia when I was younger ever.  Please help me- I am a wreck

It is easy to understand your anxiety.  It is not common for a 3-year-old to have pneumonia twice, but it does happen.  There are several reasons for this, including a well child with bad luck.  I would suggest that your daughter

We have twin daughters, 20 months old. Now they are at day care, they care catching a lot of respiratory infections. We took one of them to the pediatrician recently thinking she had pneumonia (she didn't), but what the Dr. said was interesting... he said that he had seen more cases of infant pneumonia this year than in any year he could remember. There was a particular bug going around. So it would seem that pneumonia can affect infants on a wider scale than we think. We are on the West Coast, btw.

doesnt cystic fibrosis have to be in my gene or my husbands though?

could an exposeur to mold have anythingto do with it ot that far fetched. we had a brief encounter with it in our under our floor in our kitchen.  it was removed now
