copd medines
i have severe copd im confused please help i take advair spiriva and singulair prescribed thru private dr im now seeing va dr which precribed my meds spiriva  etc i received all except havent received singulair but got formoterol fumarate.so my question is does this take the place of singulair tried asking va but not anserwing phones help please

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Singulair (montelukast) is used to prevent asthma attacks. Formoterol is a long-acting (12 hours) beta2-agonist and helps to prevent episodes of bronchospasm. So, both of them are different, though they work towards preventing attacks of wheezing.
