Maybe it's a bit like (in the Kungfu movies, when the heroes got internal injuries & a sign of 'getting healed' is by coughing up 'bad blood' or 'toxins'?) I'm just giving motivation & positive thoughts on anybody who's experiencing d same... although a doctor's / medical officer's specific answer would serve us better!
hey. Im 55 yres old..smoke 1 to 2 packs ciggarettes for decades. Ive had a bad cold (flu?..virus?) but now, I wake up and coughed up my normal pleghm, but with considerable blood. first time....cold bring this on withe the smoking? i have no pain ..(short breath)...but not terrible. but blood and ion my sinus too.
I hope you are with a pulmonary doctor. I wouldn't be fooling around with this. A needle biopsy doesn't always find the cancer. You can hemorage from that much blood loss. Go back to the doctor and have him get aggressive until he can tell you what the mass is and what the bleeding is from. Linda
