coughing

by Shy1234ann, Sep 02, 2007 12:18PM
my four year old started one week ago today with a sore throat and cough, the sore throat got better the cough five days ago went into croup he was put on some meds and the croup got better, he is not eat fine sleeping ok, and acting like he feels fine, but he has a very loose wet cough during the daytime. it has been exactly seven days since all of this started is this something to be concerened about or is it just going to take time for the junky cough to go away i have started him on musinex yesterday to thin the mucas it does seem to make it more wet, and loose. his meds from the doctor run out today, i am not sure if this has went in to bronchitis, or is this just how the croup finally wraps up from a barky cough into a wet cough, before going away. any advice should i wait it out or go back to the dr.
