Sometimes i could be sitting or at rest and it becomes hard for me to catch my breath...what could that be? It feels like my heart skips a beat and i have to breath in deep to get air. Is this something i should be worried about?

This is a common experience and, in most instances, not a sign of lung disease.  You should, nevertheless have a chest x-ray and a spirometry, a simple breathing test.  If, however, you feel your heart skip a beat every time it becomes hard for you to catch your breath, you could be having a recurrent, abnormal heart rhythm.  In that case it would be prudent to have your heart examined and portable heart rhythm monitoring conducted for 24 to 72 hours.

Good luck.
