deviated septum

by tollbooth, Sep 28, 2009 06:55PM
Hello, I wanted to know the risksof having a deviated septum fixed. I had this problem for over 10 years and it seems to keep coming back. I had it fix twice before. I am noticing that the cartilage in my nose seems less so I am concerned. I don't want to have to keep getting surgery to correct my deviated septum. Is  there any other options (besides nose sprays)?                     Thank you

Are you getting your septum fixed for chonic sinusitis? I don't understand why you keep needing to get it fixed, unless you broke it accidentally each time. I've had my septum fixed and it's fine. I don't suffer from more then 1 to 2 acute sinus infections per year, which is way more tolerable then the chronic infection that would flare up constantly into an acute one. There is probably something else going on to cause your sinus problems. But your don't give the reasons for your surgeries.
