Hello
It all started maybe 5 weeks ago, it felt like spasm in my throat and right side of my lungs and i had bad difficulties breathing.
Sometimes it feel like im not able to het enoguht air but mostly im not able to take a deep breath, sometimes when im able to breath deep i feel like airway on right side are sore. I have seen 3 doc's already. First one put me on singular , which helped a little, but only worked for a few hrs and there still was som discomfort, second doc gave me z-pack and methylprednisolone but i still was not able to talk a deep breath and one morning i woke up and try to breath deep i felt more the usual sorennes on right side in my chest. Finnaly went to lung doc , done chest x-ray( no changes on my lungs) and waiting for pulmonary test . Doc said it could be eather emphysema, chronic bronchitis or asthma didnt give me any medication and my breathing is getting worse every day .it feels like my airway were sticking together and i can get enought air into my lung it satys for hrs and only in the late evening getting little better ,  but i can feel something in there all the time.
im 33 years old female smoke for 14 years . Could that really be Emphysema? thank you.

With the problems that the lung doctor mentioned usually the chest x-ray looks fine.  Generally the emphysema and chronic bronchitis that the lung doctor mentioned happen gradually rather than suddenly the way that your problem started.  After your pulmonary test the lung doctor will have a better idea if this is asthma or some other lung problem.  You may need further testing to see if your symptoms are due to some other lung problem.

You should look upon this as a sign that you should stop smoking.  At this time quitting smoking is the most important thing that you can do for yourself!  You may want to look at our Quit Smoking Topic Center at http://www.nationaljewish.org/topic/smoking_cessation.html for ways to help you to smoke no more.  Also check with your doctor for other quit smoking resources in your area.
