elderly chronic cough
I'm looking for help for an elderly female with a chronic cough.  Her didn't become severe until she was over 80. Her Dr. has told her she has chronic bronchitis but hasn't prescribe any treatment (other than to continue using cough drops if they help--she goes through them by the bag).  About a year ago a benign growth was discovered in her left lung and when she has the coughing spells they stem from a tickle in the left side of her throat.  She'll have dry unproductive coughing spells for several minutes (usually causing tears) which finally end with a sneeze.  She'll have several of these each day. Any suggestions for treatment &/or diagnosis leading to treatment?
