elevated ASO titer

by edith888, Jul 04, 2008 01:35AM
my daughter is 21 years old. She has had bouts of tonsillitis at least 3x a year for several years which improved after treatment with antibiotics like amoxicillin and azithromycin at times. I had her checked with an ENT finally and was found out to have an ASO titer of 800. Is that very alarming? Does that mean infection has gone out of its way to other organs? I am worried.

This discussion is related to High level of ASO titer. Tonsillectomy is the only option?.
