emphysema stage

by vanty, Apr 23, 2009 08:11AM
Hi , I am 65 years of age,and was diognosed with advanced emphesema in 2007,I smoked for over 40 years but stopped when I was diognosed. I am still very active, work and exercise regularily. On my last visit to the specialist ,after examination ,he told me that I still have 66% of my lung function. I have spent many hours reading through the very interesting and educating questions and ,answers in your forums,  I have posted a question about the stages of emphysema, and had no answer till now, Could someone please tell me at what stage  I am..I am not on oxygen support,, but after reading some of your posts ,realise that I should be ,,as my s02 are fluctuating at an alarming rate when I am active. Thank you and God bless.
