environmental exposure

hi, i posted a while back regarding my worries about exposure to my living conditions.   i live in an attic space where loose pink insulation surrounds me and there are other questionable exposures.   i have had chest pains, heart palps, shortness of breath, and  daily headaches even longer than those.   i am wondering if i bought some face masks like  surgeons wear,  and wore one of those while im in my room for a month or so  to see if i get better,  would that be a reasonable thing to try  do you think if it really is exposure making me sick this would work and what kind of mask should i look for i know some of them only filter the air going out and not in

Sure, a mask might make a big difference.  The category of mask you will want for good protection is the N-95.  To get a sampling of masks in that category you can Google ‘industrial masks’ or go to:  http://www.masksnmore.com/manmon95susa.html.
