extended tonsilitis

April 2004 I became sick with white spotted tonsils & 101 degree fever. I went through 4 family docs & was misdiagnosed & mismedicated by each one according to ENT doc. Went to ENT doc in Sept 2004 & took past doc notes & lab results. ENT doc said I had tonsilitis due to anaerobic bacteria infection & treated me w/ cleocin & I improved some. He said I became so sick b/c past docs did not take a throat culture & were treating me for strep which I did NOT have & the antibiotics caused the anaerobic bacteria to grow out of control. ENT doc tested me for viral infections as well as other family docs & all were negative. It has been about 2 1/2 months since I was sucessfully treated with cleocin, but my tonsils are still swollen & I do not feel 100% better. Lyphnodes are smaller & my teeth still hurt from time to time. Dentist says I have no dental problems, but infections of this type can cause inflamation (inflammation) in gum & tissue areas in mouth; X-rays good too & I have no wisdom teeth. ENT does not want to see me back unless spots return, but I still feel sick, get tired easily, cough especially when throat gets dry & loose voice occasionally. Sometime my mouth waters &I drool if laying down or sleeping & I cannot stop it. I now have acne all over my body too. I don't know what I should do. I have been sick with tonsils since April 2004 & it is now Dec 2004. That is a long time to be sick.  Any ideas what could be wrong with me. (I'm reaching, but we have mice at work which poop & pee on our desk & we must clean it up. Had fleas at work at one time until they sprayed.) Please help.

The best advice we can give you is to be seen by an infectious disease doctor.  This would be the type of specialist to help figure out your problem and the most helpful treatment.
