fluid in ear

I have fluid in my ear and I just start taking medication yesterday the medicine is called:SULFAMETHOXAZOLE/TRIME. I am still feeling bad I still get weak and dizzy Do you think this medicine will help me? How long does it take for it to go into effect? Thanks Janice524
