In Oct of 2007 my wife had emergency colostimy with about 15 inches of her colon removed.  A pick line was installed in the right side upper chest.  her cat scans show before the surgary a very mild elavation of the right diaphram. today the catscan and sniff test show that the elivation is tripled in size.  She is scheduled for take down surgary April 1 2008.  The polumlist has at this time has no answer as to  why.  Any ideas.

Hate to hear of your problem, I had a double bypass surgery and they accidently cut a nerve to the left diaphram. It might be that they accidently damaged the nerve or muscle.
