my mother has beed dropping sats into the 50's and is using a bipap for NIV treatment can't remove it to even eat.  the last two days has barely been consious.  she's on the maxium of all the meds and many many other medical problems.  she can't get up out of bed or really do anything for herself.  she has woke up and talked to us a couple times.

When hypertension is not controlled it often ends in a stroke or a heart attack.  At the very end, COPD is most often peaceful.  There is a progressive loss of consciousness, with a slowly falling rate of breathing.
