i thought i was going mad

I am 31 yrs old and have spent most of my life with this yawning for air problem , as early as 6/7 it started it is becoming a real problem , can anyone help ?

You don't give enough information here. Is yawning your only symptom? Then perhaps you  should try getting more sleep. There are different reasons people yawn. Some yawn because their bodies need more oxygen, especially when we are tired. Others yawn out of stress. And some yawn while over breathing, also known as chronic hyperventilation.
