is there something wrong to be

Im a 23 year old female and i have sinus however for the past few months i have developed a cough and i would bring up mucus that is clear and thick with a slight runny nose and stuffy nose.The cough gets worse in the mornings and at nights and during the day i have to constantly sucking on lozenges or mints to lessen the cough.The first doctor i visited said i had sinusitis and gave me a nasal spray for the stuffy nose and a allergy tablet called triz. A week ago i got the cold and well i was prescribed by our family physician calcort tablet and a cough linctus with codeine. This really helped with the cough. Now I'm over the cold but im stuck with the thick mucus in my throat, cracked voice, the urge to always hack or cough to get the  mucus out  in an effort to clear my throat and cough which comes in and out. What do have? Is it a post nasal drip or an STD? The coughing makes me feel like i have an std.
