hello, i just got a regular echo done thos week and it showed, once again, everything was normal. everything within the right sizes.. normal functioning, Ejection fraction around 60-65%, and trace tricuspid regurgitation and with that they estimated my *(systolic)* pulmonary artery pressure to be around 27 mmHg. now.. is 27 considered pulmonary hypertension??
ive heard varying things. anything from 15-25 mmhg and 20-30 mmhg.
they didnt say anything regarding PH on my echo report. and i wont be able to see or talk to my doctor until late august. he's on vacation.
im scared to death and this has been something ive been fearing for months now.

The accepted range of normal pulmonary artery pressure is 25/10 with a mean pressure of 15. These numbers imply direct measurement, not indirect values determined by echocardiography. An estimated systolic pressure obtained by ECHO is just that – estimated, and close enough to 25 to not call it abnormal. This is not pulmonary hypertension.

but isnt it also said that a systolic of anywhere between 20-30 is normal. that the "mean" is what they technically go by anyway? as long as the 'mean' systolic pressure isnt higher than 25?
