I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in july '08 I possibly had it for a short time before.  I reada few of the posts and I have to say, a lot of the symptoms here sound familiar; the forced breathing at times, the vision with lines here and there, the numbness, all these can happen with sarcoid disease.  Generally sarcoidosis will affect only one system at a time, and will go away after a few years.  I was put on symbicort 2x per day and albuterol as needed for "wheeziness".  after a few months I no longer needed the symbicort, but as the winter kicked in I noticed my albuterol was needed more often.  I believe this to be pretty normal for people with breathing issues; cold dry air and your warm moist lung tissue doesn't mix well.  But I say to all sarcoid sufferers out there you are not alone and relax, your going to be O.K.  : )
