lots of phlegm

by lottaphlem52, Dec 04, 2007 09:23AM
I feel I have a lot of phlegm in my throat. I don't feel pain or any form of obstruction but the need to get rid of the phenomenon altogether. Maybe it's due to smoking. I'm in my third day of stopping smoking.

How would I stop the situation?

The phlegm could be from your lungs, your nose, your sinuses or all three, because cigarette smoke can irritate the respiratory system from top to bottom.  It is almost certainly aggravated or even caused by cigarette smoke and the best way to stop the phlegm is to keep on staying off the cigarettes.  It may take 6 to 12 months for the effects of smoking to completely clear, so please be patient.
