lung fungus

Mostly I just wanted to know the long term affects from fungul lung nodule, removed by thorocotomy on April 20,2009, because it grew from 6mm to 14 mm in less than 3 months. My other results from cat scans, pet scans,cta, etc were as follows, slightly enlarged spleen, right abdominal mass, 9mm lesion on my liver. I am being followed by the best infectious disease doctors in Michigan, Dr. Havelchek , and as well oncologist Dr.Schorcolovich(sp). Just wanted any other info that you can give me.
I opted for the thorocotomy because I lost my first husband to lymphoma and of course had that on my mind.
I am very happy of course that it is not cancer, however being in the medical field myself since 1978 I never take anything for granted.
Any information you could send me would be greatly appreciated.
