mucus drainage

I have had sinus problems most of my life. I am 83 yrs. of age. I don't have too much of a problem with post nasal drip, but I do have a of drainage down the back of my throat that causes me to want to be clearing it all the time. Ajso seems to be effecting my vocal cords when I talk. I'm not on any kind of diet but am taking some medications for other problems. Any suggestions?
