mycoplasma with loss of vision and constant and severe headache?

by hellodoc, Apr 17, 2007 12:00AM
My neice has been sick for about a month.  First, she got severe headache, then lost her vision for both eyes.  The doctors first treated her as optical neuritis, using some Steroid medicine, that helped with her vision.  Now she can see, but constant and severe headache.  Yesterday, her blood test suggested her got mycoplasma infection.

Can mycoplasma infection last so long (nearly a month), and cause severe headache as well as loss of vision?  What else should we suggest doctor to look into?

Please ideas?  Thank you so much!
