Nasonex is a steroid that reduces inflammation, pseudoephedrine is a decongestant. I am not a doctor, so please take what I say lightly. Sometimes I take a decongestant such as pseudoephedrine to help drain my sinuses better and it seems to help. I also take Nasonex every day year round. If you  have any other health issues such as blood pressure problems, prostate issues, etc...then I would talk to your doctor before using pseudoephedrine. HOpe this helps...Sunny
