Hi Rene. I have severe fibrosis of the lungs and had 35% of each removed 6 years ago as a treatment to ease the breathing, so I take 4 inhalers on a regular basis. I also take Oxycocet for disc pain and have been very surprised by a side effect. It actually opens up my airways to the extent that it feels as though I don’t have any obstruction and helps my breathing more than the inhaler meds combined. I contacted a lung rehab hospital about this and they’ve informed me other patients report the same findings and it warrants further study. It does however also tend to obstruct the nasal passages as you’ve related, however that’s a small price to pay for the benefits I derive.
