pneumonia or heart murmur?

by imatlkr, Feb 03, 2009 10:29PM
My daughter (6) has had a cough on and off all her life.  Was diagnosed with pneumonia Dec. 19 and went for her 3rd follow up x-ray yesterday (6 weeks later).  The radiologist reports now
Impression:
1. Persistent atelectasis or minor infiltrate at the medial right base.
2. Mild prominence of the cardiac silhouette. Does this child have a murmur?

Her doctor has now scheduled a CT scan of the chest.  What in the world could this be? She was just going to make sure pneumonia was gone!
