pneumonia

by cindy152, Mar 30, 2008 09:33AM
My daughter was 17 months old. Born premature at 25 weeks. Diagnosed with asthma, lung problems, heart problems etc.. but all was under control. To the point..she was having a really bad cough constantly, when she coughs theres a bump an her shoulders that swells up. We told her pediatrician and he said its just a regular cough and the swelling's from her trac. she had a nurse home with her at nights and one of the nurse told me it could be pneumonia. That' s when I checked with the pediatrician. That was begining of December.  On Dec 31 she was addmitted into north shore university and was being treated for pneumonia. She was sent home on jan 10 2008, saying she was fine. On Jan 20th she was laughing, playing and nothing was wrong with her. I was at work and her dad came home around 11pm and i soke and played with her over the phone. Then her dad said he had to leave the room so the nurse could feed her. At 11:15 pm I got a call from my Husband's uncle sayiong come home something's wrong with the baby. When I got there she was in the ambulance, but i wasnt allowed in there. At 11:40 were all in the emergency room, the doctors are preforming cpr and at 11:45 she passed. When we got her autospy report they said she died fom pneumonia. which she had no signs of having pnuemonia (pneumonia) that day. Can i get some answers please?
