positives on pet scan

by nanabowen, Mar 23, 2008 01:47AM
Having lung infections for many months with nothing including steroids to help, my doctor sent me for a pet scan. it showed a hot spot on my lung just under 2cm. at the stat clinic (cancer clinic) i was told that i also had an area on my hip.  the lung doctor said that my spot was too difficult to get to and the 4 doctors decided that a biopsy of my hip would tell the story. well the doctor who would do the biopsy said that there wasn't enough there to biopsy and that it was an inflamation (inflammation).  Great.....make an appointment for 3 months.   what about the lung.....they forgot.... now I'm waiting to speak with the lung doctor..  What could I expect?
