possible aspiration of food

I read the posting about the cheerio being aspirated, however I believe mine was one or two kernels of corn.  It happened Thanksgiving Day and I have felt a slight "reminder" that my lung is there on a daily basis thereafter.  It cannot be described as pain, but maybe a "leaning" of something.  I have no cough.  I am concerned since I know corn doesn't change much since it leaves the bowels looking undigested.  I do have a fear of any test involving swallowing, to inspect the lungs; I witnessed my teenager biting the doctor while partially anesthetized during swallowing the scope to check for heart valve infection.  He has no memory of it and is OK, but the test scared the tar out of me.
