post-op open lung biopsy

by Amanda1980, Feb 27, 2008 05:49AM
My mom has had pneumonia two times since Christmas(meaning she was hospitalized)! The doctors then decided she would need to have an open lung biopsy to see what was really going on. So a week ago tomorrow she had the biopsy! As I type this she is on her way back to the ER because she is having a horrible burning in her chest. The pain has gotten severely worse. As of now we have no pathology reports back on any of the tissue samples! Is this horrible burning feeling normal or can you kind of give me an insight as to what it might be? Thanks!
