right hemidiaphragm paralysys

by Jumbalia, Sep 21, 2008 07:20PM
I"ve been to a lung and neuromuscular specialists because I"ve been diagnosed with a paralysys of my right lung. I recently had MRI of the brain and spine.  my breathing is very difficult when I walk about a block or so. Also, I can"t lay flat on my back, because it feels like my lungs are deflating. The doctor recently put me on a machine for sleep apnea, it helps a little, but it isn"t a cure. The neuro specalist thinks that I might have had a silent stroke, thr right side nerve tests react a lot less active than the left side. If this is true, is there a way to get my breathing more normal so i can return to my construction job?

To: a chest medicine doctor
Back in April of 2206 i had a intraspinal tumor removed from my L-2,L-3after my surgery i had difficulty breathing i asked the nurse why and she couldn't give me an answer,Anyway i was at the hospital for 7 day's i was home for about 3 days and it was getting worse so i went to the hospital they gave me an exraywell they said everything looked fine they diagnosed me that night as   having a plumonary oh i can't remember anyway one week later again i went to see my own doctor who did a breathing test i dont no what it was called but anyway he was really concerned bbecause in 2005 i had a chest exray because  i had a little it of pnemonia (pneumonia) and it showed that my lungs were even.so he sent me to a chest medicine doctor who ordred another xray but it was called a sniff test it is when you step up on this little platform and what you had to do was breath in and thats when they found out that i had an henielevated right diaphram,so he out up the xray that i had in 2005 and put it beside the 2006 xray and you could see that my lungs were not even in the 2006 xray this xray was taken mayof 2006  this was just  a  few weeks after having the surgery and he said that the only way that i could of received this was from the spine surgery that i had just had  sohe sent me  to a neurologist who agreed as well,so my chest medicine doctor advised me that i be sent to New York to have a diaphram pacemaker put in but he wanted to do one more stiff xray test done so i did and he said to me that there is no sense in having it done because there is no cure for my condition i would like to have a neurologist answr this question for me please let me no what you might have caused this condition both doctor's  agree that it was the surgery that i had done because thats when the trouble  had started so please i would rally appreciate it if you send me an email it is donna_knight58***@**** just so that i no that it is you answering me put in your name  and your email please.
