right lung base pleural thickening

My 16 year old son was hospitalized with LeMierre's Syndrome in Jan 04. He had micro pulmonary emboli and bilaterl pleural effusion.

Now 4 1/2 months later his chest x-ray shows "right lung base plural thickening". Is there any correlation? Or would this be someting else?

Yes, he is fortunate that the diagnosis was made, although his temperature reached 106.9 before he was diagnosed. He was seriously ill but seems to be making a recovery although he still has some sequela.

thank you for your answer.
