sarcoid and sweating

by Umass, Nov 25, 2008 01:54AM
I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in May 2005 and have been on prednisone the whole time. At the beginning of being treated I had some problems with sweating, but within the last year or so the sweating has become unbearable and it makes it so hard to go out in public and especially hard, as I am going on job interviews, and I'm sitting with sweat just pouring down my head and face. It also doesn't help that I'm 6' 6" and 340 lbs so I tend to draw a little more attention than the average person. My question is, does it generally come from the steroids or the sarcoid, and what is something I can do to help with the problem?
Also, what are the dangers of taking yourself off the prednisone without weaning yourself off of them?
