seasonal fungal nasal infection?

seasonal fungal nasal infection?

i have (again!) discovered a strange "strawberry"-type swelling in my right nostril which, just like before,is beginning its inexorable development into an unsightly pustular conglomeration, tingling as it develops...(is this a form of cold sore i wonder?? i don't actually get them around the mouth)..
i am suffering a certain amount of hay fever (sneezes/itchy mouth/eyes) at present, although i have taken clarytin today, hoping it might also affect the nasal business - but i doubt it will do anything re the nasal problem..
i have a little athlete's foot(!)too, and am wondering if there might be a link - fungal? - between infected areas, even though i try to be as hygienic as possible...
my general health is good, but i think i am in the peri-menopausal phase at present  - could fluctuating hormonal levels be a possible trigger in all this i wonder?
(i also swim/exercise with bare feet fairly frequently, and seem to have picked up a possible verrucca!)
perhaps someone might have some insight??!
thankyou...

The best insight for this is to have a health care provider examine the lesion in your nose and perhaps culture it.  That would tell you without doubt what is the cause.  All the things you mention may have some influence on this, but until a health care provider can tell you what this is, all is just speculation.

A week ago I also developed a red bump at the base of my left nostril. I thought at first it was the continuation of a cold sore which seemed to start at the same time. The cold sore (which I regularly get) dimenished but the red bump didn't (it got larger!) so I thought it was a nasty blemish. I have repeatedly applied 10% benzol peroxide (OTC)and it is starting to dry up. I too am perimenopausal and addressing seasonal allergies with Claritin.
