sick every month

by pleasehelpmefigureoutwhatsrong, Sep 16, 2007 10:30AM
I have been sick for two weeks then ok for two weeks off and on for over a year. My tonsils swell up and I feel like passing out then I get a runny nose, sneezing, and my lungs feel like there full of liquid. I get a headache, muscle aches then after coughing up brown mucus for a week or two it goes away to come right back in a week or two. I notice if I drink to much the next day my tonsils swell up,and it starts all over again. Other times if im really stressed it seems to bring it on. I live around infected mosquitos(west nile),but i also smoke, drink, and have been around toxic chemicals like asbestos and construction material for over twenty years working.I was also hospitallized years ago for an unknown bacteria contracted from surfing in polluted water. Doctors just give me antibiotics and send me on my way. Can anyone help? Sincerely, In Bad Shape

Sounds like you have a real problem with your lungs, probably from the cumulative effects of cigarettes and toxic chemicals.  You may have a chronic infection in your throat or lungs.  You really should see a lung specialist.  Also you could have developed some type of immunodeficiency disease.  As long as this has gone on, you really do need to get medical advice and treatment.
