Hi,

Do you have phlegm in your throat?
I just began having similar symptooms to you (less than a week) using nasal spray,
my friend has the same for 4 weeks now....

That is quite some time for an infection. Are you still on antibiotics or have you finished your course? I think that if you still have signs of infection that maybe the antibiotic that you were given was not the right one for the particular bacteria that is causing it. Maybe your doctor can get a culture of your sinuses to see what is growing in there. It could possibly not be bacteria, yeast can cause infections as well which would require a different med all together.
Sometimes sinus rinses help as well. I have had many infections and have used rinses to help clear the gunk out of my sinuses with success. You should discuss this with your doctor and see what he says.
I hope this helps..Sunny

Hi Sunny,
My friend is the one on antibiotics not me...so dunno.
I have this for a week and was given a nasal spray (a steroid type better than anti-histammine). I still get the mucus to teh back of my throat and occasional earache and headache but not all teh time. I get yellow mucus from right nostril only.
I have bad breath too.
I will go back to my dr. in 2 weeks if this doesn't work.
Thanks and Regards,
FWK

Once ou have yellow mucus, you need antibiotics to clear up your problem.

Hi Sunny,

Thx for the reply again.
My Dr. thinks it is viral that is why he gave me a spray.
I will go back next monday and see what he says.

Thanks and Regards,
FWK

My wife fought that for years.  Finally had sinus surgery to open up her passages (they had done an MRI for something else and found her sinus cavities "full" of something.  Investigation found mold, as gross as that sounds.  Surgery SUCKED (the recovery did, I should say) but she's not had any sinus issues in the 2 years since.

Basically her sinus' would never drain, so **** stayed in there and that's never good.  But now that they can drain, she's not even had the flu since.
