sleep apena

Does a diviated septrum cause or contribute to sleep apnea? Also, will it cause sinus headaches, earache, etc? Will surgery on this medical condition help the above problems? Is there some type of surgery that will help other than for a diviated septrum?

By itself a deviated septum will not cause sleep apnea, but it can make sleep apnea worse.  A deviated septum can block sinus drainage into the nose.  This could cause sinus headaches and earaches.  Surgery to correct the deviation and clear the blockage is simple and effective.

Other surgery, for obstructive sleep apnea, should be considered a last resort; only after a vigorous trial of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) has failed.
